  9. TitleCD is a replacement for the original CD shell command.
  10.  
  11. I wasn`t that happy with the way the Shell usually displays the name of
  12. the current directory because it usually resulted in annoying long prompts
  13. of 1/2 to 2/3 times of the total width of the shell window (screens were
  14. small back then).
  15. The window title however has always been almost unused, it just displayed
  16. "AmigaShell" and used valuable screen space.
  17.  
  18. The whole thing has been extended with
  19.   - wildcard support (to get you into that directory with the loooong name,
  20.     or the one with the characters you have never seen before),
  21.   - an argument that speeds up changing between the current and the last
  22.     directory ("cd lastdir" instead of "cd sys:bla/blo/ble/bli") and
  23.   - writing/reading the name of the current directory to or from a file.

  25. In this release, the second feature has been extended to support a full
  26. list of recently used directories ("history").
